Our Mission

How do you revitalize a neighborhood? You start with one block, one home, one family at a time.

Bringing Back the Block is a community development initiative and documentary series that takes on the process of buying and fixing up homes, turning vacant lots into parks, starting businesses, rehabbing neighborhood schools, and creating inclusive housing communities.

We believe Detroit's neighborhoods deserve investment, attention, and love. Our approach combines real estate development with storytelling, bringing celebrity investors, local contractors, and community members together to create lasting change.

Bringing Back the Block is proud to partner with the Crew Development Institute and the Empowerment Path Foundation to amplify our impact and create sustainable community development across the diaspora.

The Documentary Series

Think Netflix's "Trigger Warning with Killer Mike" meets HGTV's "Fixer Upper" with the drama and comedy from "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

Each episode features celebrity investors, contractor drama, and life-changing moments as we transform Detroit's neighborhoods. The series doesn't just document change—it funds it.

"This is a great combination between entertainment and actual community work."
